Health Risks for Our Youth
Did you know that young people in Ghana are at an increased risk for heart disease? Did you know that an underlining heart issue can determine one’s ability to survive or succumb to Covid-19?
Family, Child & Associates examined a random group of youth and found high levels of blood pressure. Evidence suggests that professionals and higher socioeconomic groups are at particular risk.
Childhood malaria, lack of physical activity, processed foods, and emotional stress have increased the risk of heart and kidney-related issues for people in their twenties. To prevent these issues, having our youth participate in a cardiac health program is critical.
90-Day Health Challenge
Family, Child, & Associates is pleased to announce an exciting 90-day health challenge to educate young adults (21 – 40 years) about the dangers of poor heart and kidney-related diseases. By focusing on all areas of your health, from nutrition to emotional and physical, our challenge will help you stay healthy.
For preventative measures and progress tracking, we will screen your heart three times during this program. We will also provide you educational materials and questions to learn about healthy living and engage with a like-minded community. Family, Child, & Associates will send you daily reminders via text message to review our new material on eating better, decreasing stress, and preventing serious health issues. We truly hope that at the end of the 90 days, you will develop new habits that positively impact your overall well-being and health.
